Tulsi is always needed in religious ceremonies and is also popular for its medicinal application. Tulsi is loved by lord Vishnu and in Hinduism tulsi vivaah is a very popular religious practice.

In India Ayurveda Medicine {some 3,000 years ago} utilized spices such as clove and cardamom. these spices were wrapped in betel nuts leaves and chewed after meal to increase salivary flow to aid digestion.

 

spices also have a long history of use in Asia , northeast Africa and Europe as form of currency during the spice trade. spices such as cinnamon, cassia, cardamom,ginger,pepper,and turmeric were know and used for commerce in the eastern world.
